The essential concept of soundproof:
  1. If you want to have good soundproof, the first thing is to choose a window that can block the outdoor air. If the air cannot be blocked, even the thicker glass will be useless.
  2. After choosing the right window that can block the air, we can start deciding regarding the thickness of the glass.

      Notes on glass selection:

  1. After choosing the right type of window that can block outdoor air, we often choose 5mm+5mm or 5mm+8mm sandwich glass.
    (If you want thicker glass, you need to consider the weight that the window can support)
  2. If the outer glass of the double-pane window is not thick enough, the soundproof won’t work well, and the air layer in the middle will have resonance problem. Please make sure you understand it before choosing it.
  3. Double-pane windows are often used in places where condensation occur, such as mountains, seaside, or high-rise buildings. (Condensation - the condensed water is generated by outdoor coldness and indoor heat)
